Care With A Smile

"My husband never had such good care his entire life. We were always greeted with a smile. There wasn't a time we needed them, that they didn't come."

-- Nora Sutton, wife of former patient

Hospice is More Than What you Think

ABC Hospice provides much more than top medical care. Nurses, volunteers and all other members of the ABC Hospice family offer a warm heart and helping hands to each and every patient and family.

Hospice is a special concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life-limiting illness no longer responds to cure-oriented treatments. Hospice care neither prolongs life nor hastens death.

ABC Hospice staff offers a specialized knowledge of medical care, including pain management. Our goal is to provide care that improves the quality of a patient's last days by extending a hand of compassion.

ABC Hospice deals with the emotional, social, and spiritual impact a terminal illness has on patients and the patients family members. When a patient passes away, we continue to provide nurturing support to their family members.  Being diagnosed with a terminal illness is devastating. It’s a journey no one should take alone. When someone faces a life-ending illness, the entire family is affected. ABC Hospice takes this journey with our patients and family members each step of the way.

Patients typically benefit from Hospice care when they have one of the following diagnosis:

  • Advanced Cancer
  • Adult Failure to Thrive Syndrome
  • End-Stage Alzheimer's Disease
  • Heart Disease
  • HIV
  • Liver Disease
  • Neurological Disorders
  • Renal Disease
  • Stroke & Coma

Hospice care is a covered benefit under Medicare for patients with a prognosis of six months or less. A patient can remain in hospice care beyond six months if a physician re-certifies that the patient is terminally ill.

ABC Hospice believes everyone deserves the same care when faced with a life-ending illness. We accept all patients, with or without insurance coverage. Our experienced team develops a comprehensive plan to best meet each patients needs. ABC Hospice provides the following to our patients and family members:

  • Physician Services
